Great Food! Best wonton soup ever!!. I love this place. I get take out at least twice a week. Highly recommended. Try the pepper steak or the kung pao checken. Fantastic!!
Best chinese in Middle River.
Having tried numerous chinese restaurants in middle river (takeout), this one is by far a cut above the rest. We over ordered as usual and all the food was hot and delicious. It certainly isn't the best chinese food i've had, but definitely the best I've tried in middle river.
Shame they don't deliver.
My Deep Fried Nightmare.
We are new to the area, so we thought we'd give Little China a try. As others have stated, the prices are inexpensive & the portions plenty big. We ordered a dinner for two, which includes a pu pu platter, entree (general tao for us), soup, "pork" fried rice, tea, and dessert. Not bad for 20 bucks, you are might think.
Well, if you like taste with your food this is not a bargain.
The soup (wonton) was incredibly salty and very brown. We were not expecting brown.
The pu pu platter had shrimp toast (over fried), fried wontons? (not sure about the filling - it was chewy & tasteless), 2 spare ribs (nothing spectacular), 2 bbq beef sticks (the best part of this meal), and 2 chicken wings we dared not try (also over fried).
Surely, this was just a deviation?
No.
When the General Tao chicken arrived swimming in sauce without vegetables, looking crispier than it should, we knew we would never return. An extensive disection with the plastic chopsticks proved that it was indeed chicken at some point. And while it was advertised as spicy, a more apt adjective might be "tangy." And did I mention that the fried rice looked as brown as the soy sauce I never used?
Once again, we smiled as our very pleasant waitress asked us if we wanted to take the extra food home...and once again we said no.
Gluttens for punishment, we agreed to try the ice cream for dessert (one vanilla, one mint chocolate chip). Sure enough, the ice cream was freezer-burned.
We won't be returning, and if you have any idea what actual chinese cuisine is supposed to taste like, you will steer clear of Little China Restaurant.
A must. this is one place you gotta try i lived in middle river all my life and this is tyhe first time i went to little china passed it many many times just never stoped in and my friend told me to stop there wow unreal its a must
A Great Value & Great Food. Although this restaurant is very small, it is run by a very dedicated family who prepares dishes that are top quality. The price includes entree, soup, appetizers, and dessert. This small find has the best rice pudding around!! Their brewed chineese tea is excellent! Friendly service, good food & wonderful low prices, makes this a true find!!!!
