Very Disappointed. As the mother of the bride, I was thoroughly disappointed with Martin's East from start to finish on the occasion of my daughter's wedding reception. I don't usually write reviews but in this case I felt I had to share my experience with others. When the bridal party arrived for the reception, (granted, we were late in arriving but I don't think that is uncommon) our guests had already been served the appetizer before grace was said. The food (I could not eat, tasted suspicious) The staff (a very very unfriendly atmosphere, did not appear to be happy or glad to serve). The service (I had to clear my own appetizer and entree from the table but if you left your beverage it was cleared immediately, many complained). The reception coordinator (very abrasive, totally ignored me when I asked a question & walked away pretending not to hear me when she obviously did). She also literally pushed the bride & groom out of the shot of them tasting the wedding cake so she could take it to be cut. The photographer & guests were unable to take that memorable photo. Untouched slices of wedding cake were thrown away. I would have liked the option of taking the cake home as would the grooms mother. The bartender asked guests for tips. The DJ, included with the wedding package, (DJ Delights) did not play music from the requested list. Songs that had special meaning to our family were never played as requested. I could never recommend Martin's for your childs special occasion. The facility was beautiful but the staff did not make it a special occasion for us.
