GREAT PLACE TO TAKE YOU FAMILY ;). Now that Sue Island Marina is under NEW ownership it is a wonderful place to be. The owners couldnt be any nicer and helpful, they have shown our local folks how a marina is to be ran. After leaving there when it was once owned and operated poorly, we have returned and couldnt be any happier. I would recommend everyone to come and check out the marina!!

UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP!. Sue island marina is under new ownership. The marina has changed for the better there are friendly people around to help. My boat is now kept there and I have had NO problems. I would recommend others to follow.

Junkyard or Boatyard?. I can tell you 1st hand that this marina is a DUMP!! Trash everywhere, not kept up, dumpster over flowing and filled with dead stinky crabs, 2 little kids maybe 5 being the oldest running around and playing on peoples boats and the equipment, can never find anyone that works there, no one ever answers the phone and if you leave a message give a week or so to get a call back, junk boats all around. I could go on and on. I havent found anything good about this place. If you are thinking about keeping your boat at Sue-Island or just having a boat pulled or put in I would recommend that you go elsewhere unless you want your boat damaged or you want to be over charged. As you can tell I am very disgusted with this marina and many other people are as well. On the upside there are a lot of empty slips if you need one because so many people are taking there ropes and leaving. The main complaint from other slip holders and people justing having there boat put in is that they are given one price then charged another. You have no choice to pay because they will hold your boat hostage.

If you are new to the area and looking for a nice marina some are; Parkside, Markleys, Bowleys Condo, pretty much anywhere but SUE-SLAND YAHCT BASIN!!!!

This boat yard is fine.. I have been taking my boat here for years and the owner operator has been great. He's busy so sometimes you have to wait your turn but he's always helpful, returns his calls, and he is service oriented. Things get done quickly and effectively. It is a working yard so you'll meet other enthusiasts who are also great and willing to help - especially with the advice!

The best advantage for this place are the prices for haul out and services - they are very reasonable. I recommend this marina without reservation and would suggest ignoring the other posts which obviously have some negative motive behind them. questions - email me kwolsen <(at)> comcast net. if you have a question.
