Tips for LA Fitness

DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM. The review above me is obviously from someone who works there and is trying to sell the gym. I had joined this gym when it was Ballys a week before LA fitness took it over. Since they did they have cut their hours of opperation. They close mon-fri at 9 sat at 8 and sundays at 6. I asked when the hours will go up they informed me the first of the year. Here it is April and they still are not open longer. They also said they will be having classes start up. They have ZERO CLASSES so the other guy in the review is lying. the staff is a joke they talk behind the desk to one another dont socialize with the members. In the early morning the staff member behind the desk is working out in his pajamas. And to top it off this good friday there was a notice stating that "this location will be closed but we could use the location in towson" soooo again the dundalk location would be closed but not the other ones. And i can understand on easter maybe being closed but seeing that golds, planet fitness and other gyms are open untill at least 1.. THIS GYM IS A JOKE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

This budget gym trims the fat off its patrons at streamlined facilities.. The Scene
Most Ballys stick to the basics for their design. Televisions broadcast silently above multiple rows of cardio machines; mirrored walls act as the primary decorative components. But thanks to high-energy television ads and low-impact membership premiums, this national fitness chain has steadily attracted a clientele bent on saving money while losing weight or gaining muscle.

The Workout
Using fairly standard strength-training equipment and/or racks well-stocked with free weights, the best of the trainers here, who are classified at four different levels, can be as skillful as those found at costlier gyms. For group classes, signature exercise options include Spinning and Powerflex, as well as a number of patented routines inspired by Tae Kwon Do.
