Truck owner and Truck operators BEWARE.... Our truck got stuck in Maryland. It was towed to Truck & Heavy Equip. on Friday. Monday afternoon we were told that the transmission needs to be replaced and quoted a price of $7200.00. Since the price was twice as high as our mechanic would charge, and Baltimore being 350 miles away.. it didn't make sense for us to repair there. We told them that we want to tow the truck back to New Jersey. At that point we were told that we have to pay $3200.00 for the diagnosis.. since they had to tear-down the trainy.. to see whats wrong. By doing that they have robbed us twice.. once by not letting us to get an independent opinion on what was really wrong.. and two..charging us for giving us an estimate, with out our permission to destroy our truck. Chris Emanuel, the owner, and Steve Morgan, have lied to us and caused damage to our truck . If you are unlucky enough to find yourself in that shop, make sure that you have it in writting that they are not to touch your equipment without your express permission, othrerwise you will end up paying thousands for no work done...
