WOW... Best Prime Rib, Largest, Great Taste... WOW!. Best Prime Rib, Largest, Great Taste for 20.00 Bucks and a craft of Burgandy Wine for $7.00. One 1/2 a glass at another place is $8.00. My husband and I both had great diners all totaled at $57.00 and some change. We will be going back. Oh Yeah....

Thanks Michaels for taken care of your neighbors.

Good seafood. The last time we went here the lobster dinner we had was one of the best I can remember in a long time.

Best meal I've eaten in years. If you've never had *real* crab cakes, Michael's is THE place to try it. They're nearly softball-sized so very much worth the price and they have the perfect blend of seasoning. I grew up in B'more and moved around the country so trust me when I say no one outside of Maryland has a clue about crab cakes. There's no breading in these so it's 100% pure lump backfin crab meat - just the way crab cakes were intended. I come back to town several times a year and make a point to visit Michael's (yes, it's that good). On the last visit with my wife, I made a point to tell the server it was the best meal I've had in years. For lunch, we had the crab cake burger and the shrimp bisque was roll-your-eyes-in-back-of-your-head good.

This restaurant is owned by the former chef of Jimmy's Seafood (Dundalk) so even the steamed crabs are just about perfect. I've also had the steaks and I'm a carnivore by nature so I can tell you they're absolutely mouth-watering. I always order steaks medium rare and they've been tender and juicy here. One visit to Michael's and you'll be throwing rocks at Phillip's Seafood and the like.

I don't understand these shoe-leather comments and complaints about disinterested servers. We've never experienced that here as it's always been friendly and I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you want to impress an out-of-towner (friends, family, colleague, etc.) with what a real crab cake (or steamed crabs) are supposed to be like.

good bread, steak tasted old. The server acted like he wanted to be anwhere but there. The filet tasted like it had been around too long. Afraid to eat it that I might get sick. The cole slaw wasn't fresh--wasn't even cold. Not clean looking, either, and neither was the bartender or server. Will not go back.

Don't waste your hard earned money. What good is a lot of prime rib if it's too tough to eat?? We ordered the 24 oz. prime rib special and after the first bite we knew we had wasted our money. We had to fight with it to cut it! It's not like we asked for well done, it was medium rare, and yet, it was tough as shoe leather. We'll never go back. Only a handful of people there, that should have told us something. Save your money and go to a better place for decent prime rib.

Don't be fooled!. We walk in the door and immediately notice the weather worn home made "No Smoking Sign the screams from the entrance way". Wow was that the first thing we notice. I thought a scent of fine eats would have been the first thing we noticed?

We were placed in the first booth across from the bar. Now the table was about 8 inches shorter than the length of the booth. This meant my plate would have been slightly to the right to keep it on the table. We asked for a table after that. 20 minutes later we were led to our table in the middle of this cramped dining room. Felt like a factory lunch room. Keep in mind that all the above took around 20 minutes. We sat there and watched the Manager talk with buddies at the bar. He was wearing Blue Jeans and a long sleeve blue shirt with the tails hanging down. "He made no effort to assist his waitstaff, or check on the customers who have just been moved to a new table for good reason. He did not move from the Bar while we were there. When we were leaving this "Manager" was sitting at the bar with his legs across 3 bar stools, "Feet up on the last". All he needed was a pillow for his head- Glad someone was cozy!.The waitstaff had there hands full. It was 30 minutes before she got our Drink order. It took this long we ordered everything at once. At this point we were ready to walk out. NOW, Waitress did not know what a baked potato "LOADED" meant. She was confused about everything. She did not check on us until I called her over due to a BLEEDING COW ON THE TABLE.

The Food-Well I ordered the 40 oz Porterhouse Steak for around $20. You would expect a salad or soup for this price and when I asked for a "Loaded baked potato" I was told that it came with Butter and Sour Cream only. Waitress told me I would pay for each additional topping. I settled for the Baked Potato "as is" with something called Greek Beans (Green Beans from a can with Tomato and Onion added". These sides came in apple sauce bowls like you get in nursing homes. SO! for the $20 I got a baked potato with Butter and Sour Cream, "Greek Beans" and a 20 oz chunk of meat. Now, If I had it my way the steak would have been cooked on a Grill with Salt and Pepper and some seasoning. This is not what happened! I ordered my steak Medium Rare and got BLEEDING!. The steak was big but I could tell it was tossed on a flat top griddle. Oops, I had to send it back to remove the moo. The waitress returned in about 5 minutes and I knew it was still Rare. Sure enough, I cut the steak in the center and found BLEEDING AGAIN. She took it and I jokingly said why not use the microwave!..SHE DID!! and I got a $20 steak finished in the microwave after being sent back 3 times (by the way, NO SIGN OF MANAGER). It was after I WENT and got some A1 "Myself" that I could finally eat my steak. You see during the re-cook's I had to eat my side dishes to keep up with the other guests at the table. The Steak was tender on the outside!. Woo Hoo

The Review-If you are a senior looking for a budget meal "DON'T DO IT". If you want a nice dinner with Baltimore Local Flavor "Don't Do It", and if you want a restaurant the excellent Management, Great Servers, and Meal for your Buck.....DO NOT DO IT. I had a horrible dinner and I would expect more from a local landmark restaurant. You can't rely on over sized steaks to make your restaurant. These days people have a choice when they dine. Managers should check the tables, tuck the shirt in, pay attention to whats going on around him, and make a memorable experience so guests will return. The Wait Staffs job is the anticipate the needs of the guest and create an excellent meal so guests will return. One things for sure,...I wont. The Broadway Diner is just up the road. The Food is Excellent, It was featured on the Food Channel, the wait Staff work hard to please, and you get more for your money. BEWARE!!!!
