Best Greek restaurant in the area. Worth any wait that you may encounter on a Friday or Saturday night.. Warm, friendly, family owned restaurant with excellent service. The food is authentic and as delicious as you would find in Piraeus, Athina, or..Samos. Try a Greek salad topped with lamb; you will need to come back again.

Best Greek food outside of Crete. It isn't only the food that we enjoy at Samos, but the atmosphere and the waitstaff are beyond compare. We travel from Churchville MD regularly to fulfill our Samos attack. When our daughter comes to visit from Raleigh, one of the main things on our "to do" list is to eat at Samos. Our favorite choice is the veggiekabob with chicken. We eat to our heart's content and then have enough to fill a doggie bag. Thanks for providing such an enjoyable service for us.

Inexpensive Authentic Greek Food!. Friendly wait staff, reasonable prices and if you like lemons... you MUST try their lemon based soup: avogolemono and also their flaming cheese appetizer: saganaki...YUMMY!

Great Greek in a hurry!. I found Samos by accident one day, and boy am I thankful! I went for lunch with a friend, and was pleasantly surprised. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, inside the walls are painted with Greek scenes. Busy, and packed was my first impression, but I was quickly greeted and a table was pointed out to me. We tried the kalamari - fresh, crispy, and delicious, and quick! I went with the Neptune salad, and she ordered the gyro. My salad of greens, onions, and olives was fresh and topped with garlicky medium sized shrimp, and huge chunks of feta. The dressing is brought to the table so you can go as light or heavy as you like - and it is out of this world. My friend said her gyro was not too special, but above average. (It looked pretty good to me.) Sadly we had no room for sweets, but I won't make that mistake next time. Even though they don't keep it a secret, I realized after the meal that only cash is accepted at Samos. Fortunately, they have an ATM in the restaurant, but if I only had a credit card with me I might have been in trouble. That said, I can't wait to do it again!

Dining there for 10 yrs. I have enjoyed the great tastes of Samos since I was 11 years old, and I keep going back. Samos has great authentice Greek food, and the staff shows that Greek hospitality. Highly recommended for all.

Great Baklava. Cute restaurant with tasty food. It's small, which is part of its charm. However, as a single patron on business, I sat at a table in the middle of several noisy large tables and felt a bit on display. It was worth it though. Greek salad dressing was phenomenal and the baklava was terrific.

Don't expect fine dining here: Samos has corner joint written all over it and the kitchen is open and noisy. If you're searching for outstanding homemade Greek food, however, look no further. Named for an island, Samos' walls are appropriately painted with Greek landscapes and seaside scenes.





The Food


Dishes range from cool Greek salad and warm pita bread to souvlaki, dolmades (grape leaves), gyros, cheese pies and other mouthwatering Greek specialties. Whatever you order, make sure it comes with fresh pita and plenty of tzatziki, an out-of-this-world creamy cucumber sauce. In addition to Greek cuisine, Samos offers American favorites like French fries, burgers, subs and great crab cakes. Gorge yourself on feta or fries, but don't rule out dessert: Homemade rice pudding, galaktoboureko and baklava might just outshine the main course.

Best Greek In Baltimore. Incredibly good Greek food for incredibly reasonable prices. Down home friendly service too. When I asked for a business card to take home as a souvenir and they were all out, my waitress just gave me a whole menu to take home.
