39.290129 -76.581464Big, Beautiful, and Green. Patterson Park surprised me. I moved to Baltimore from Brooklyn, NY which has Prospect Park, one of the greatest city parks in the country. (I like it better than Central Park.) But when Patterson Park started to bloom, and the weekend activities started happening, this park really came to life. The recently re-opened Pagoda has one of the best panoramic views of the area you'll find. You can see all the way to Fort McHenry. And the grounds of the park are really well tended. There are 8 or 10 free tennis courts, huge soccer fields, baseball diamonds, basketball courts, a swimming pool, and winding paths. Dogs really seem to love this park, and their owners are good about picking up after them. All in all, I would give Patterson Park a 10 out of 10 for everything a park should be. Enjoy!
