Do Not patronize this business!!! I urge you to never deal with John or any other person at Caton Radio! They ruined my car and did not back up their joke of a warranty!!
Our child placed a coin in our DVD player so we called Caton Radio to have it removed. First of all its first come/first serve so my wife and 2 small children had to wait. So they waited for an 1-1 1/2 hours for a tech to walk out to our car and pull out the DVD player out (took less than 5 minutes). After about a week, I was told they got the coin out but that the DVD mechanism was broken and that this happens all the time. Plus the repair was +$700 ($550 for part and $150 for labor). I thought that was crazy. I read other comments online about how shady Canton Radio is which concerned me. I decided to pass on the repair and picked up my unit and said I'll think about it. I installed the DVD player back in myself and guess what? It worked fine. I almost spent $700 for nothing. I want to stress that I documented everything and spoke to the Tech and front desk person and on multiple occasions they reiterated that they item was definitely broken. I saw one negative comment online where Canton threatened to sue them, well I can say is bring it on. I think they were misleading me and recommend you not trust them and to take your business elsewhere.
this business is a fraud i was scammed when i came there to fix my amplifier for my bmw first they told me my amplifier was bad and i paid $30 to get it checked out, then they said it could be repaired but i had to give a $100 deposit and $30 to remove old amp.i was told they would call me in 3 to 5 days after 2 weeks i call sincie they did not call me then they like your amp cant be fixed.so i call and asked if i could use my store credit towards tinting my windows they said yes window tinting cost $125.00. I went in next morning and gave the same counter person helping me my keys at the same counter then said my balance will be $25 and she said yes when i tried to pick up my car i was told window tinting is a different company and i had to pay $125.00 i asked to speak to the owner and he was extremely rude he called me a thief and said i tried to steal my car i told him what happened and he like window tinting is a different company and they have different counter i said i gave my keys to employee at the regular counter moreover they did not tell me it was a different company.next things he said is that you niggers always #$%$ me off you always want something for nothing i said sir just give me my keys and paid him the $125.oo after some research i found out he was a member of a white supremacy groups and most of his employees are xconvits and neo nazi beware of caton raid if your are african american they dont want you there and there service sucks they try to get all they can out of you when i was walking out another customer was complaing of a missing labtop out of his car what kind of a businees is this pleale share this with all your family and friends
worst service I have ever experienced – I feel urged to post my objective opinion regarding their service, to remind other people what they have done to me. I took my car to fix a small problem with dvd player, waited in their store for three hours (been told only takes 20 mins, that's the reason I chose to wait, but.) and spent more than hundred bucks. End result, nothing is fixed. That's not what makes me angry, read on people. I tried to BBB, but got an offer to waive a hundred something bucks refundable deposit as showing their sincere apology if I choose to send my car back again. Have not heard of any places who fix you car charge you a deposit, that's such a nice gesture for them to waive it, but sorry I won't send my car back even if they pay me. Next, I wrote on google review about this and gave them a neg rating, guess what happened? I got a lawyer's first class mail lying in my home mailbox. The lawyer threatened to sue me if I don't remove my neg rating on google in ten days. No wonder I don't see many neg ratings of them on google.
Leave vehicle all day, and be sure to say "Yes Sir" – I had a remote car starter installed exactly one year ago, and it recently hasn't been working properly. I tried calling for an appointment, but Caton Radio doesn't take appts due to their "custom" work.
I finally made time to drive 35 miles to Catonsville (on a Tuesday) and was told I would need to wait an hour to have my car looked at.
A friend picked me up and we killed a total of 3 hours. When I returned to Caton Radio, my car still had not been looked at, and I received a MAJOR attitude when I asked why. Custom work, no appts.... blah blah blah...
The moral of the story is, when I was "purchasing" the product, you couldn't have asked for a nicer company! When I came back with a problem, they were willing to let me sit in the waiting room for an 8 hour shift rather than ask the tech to take 10 minutes to diagnose the problem. THEN tell me I would have to wait longer or come back, etc... Communication SUCKED
I'm a very easy going person, and I've been to Caton Radio MANY times over the years, but.... I won't be going back.... it is what it is. They seem to have little concern for complaints when new $$ isn't involved. They've survived a terrible economy, and they should continue to survive, but it won't be due to me or any future referrals
Awesome Customer Care – The Service rep at Caton Radio was great. I think he may even have some kind of "Special Power's" to get my Radio/ CD player to work like new again I went to three different location and they said it was noting to be done that I would need a new Radio/CD Player. However when I came here the rep was able to get it back working in no time at all. Thanks you guy's ROCK !!!

My windows look great – I just like the good service provided at Caton Radio. Not only to myself but how I saw the other customers as well. Everyone was very helpful and my windows look super great!
