Yay for all you can drink brunch!. The all you can drink brunch is great and while the food might not be "authentic," I still liked it. The limited selection did not bother me because I get overwhelmed when there are too many choices. I recommend getting a side of bacon because it is HUGE. I will definitely go back!
Great place to meet friends. I love this place. It is a great local bar. The menu is a bit limited, however they have the BEST crabcakes (1/2 priced on Thursday night). Mojitos are their speciality drink, however the bartenders know how to make everything under the sun. The view is the best, right on the harbor.
Not an authentic Cuban Restaurant - Filthy Restrooms-. Little Havana has a VERY limited menu and does NOT have authentic Cuban food. The mojitos were bitter; the Cuban sandwich was disappointing and tasted like a bland grilled cheese. The steak sandwich was terrible, the meat was fatty and should have been called the "Garlic Sandwich" since this was the only thing you could taste. The Masitas de Puerco were tasty but needed salt. The bathrooms were FILTHY. If you are expecting traditional Cuban food like "Ropa Vieja", "Puerco Asado a la Criolla", "Picadillo" etc. forget it, it's not at Little Havana and I would avoid it like the plague. If you want a deafeningly noisy bar that makes a pathetic attempt at Cuban cuisine and has the added bonus of unbelievably dirty bathrooms then this is your place!!!
Good Food---Dirty Bathrooms.
The food is good & the views are nice on the water, however, the service is lousy.
Also, the bathrooms are just dirty! Just think, if the bathrooms are that dirty the kitchen must be too...
A spectacular waterfront vista and Cuban-inspired cuisine bring a bit of Miami to Baltimore..
The Scene
On the southern edge of the Inner Harbor, one nondescript white building is the scene of a rollicking happy hour and an innovative "Nuevo Cubana" cuisine. A large tropical-themed bar with a corrugated tin roof is the restaurant's centerpiece; murals of Castro and the island add color. There are comfy wooden booths on two sides, and third glass wall lets out onto a spacious wooden deck.
The Food
If its tried-and-true Cuban cuisine you seek, keep looking. This extensive menu has been crafted around traditional ingredients then prepared with modern flair. Plantain crusted mahi-mahi--just one of several seafood dishes--takes plantain from side dish-yummy to main-dish wow. Beef lovers, don't despair: Porter marinated beef medallions and a traditional Cuban beef stew may be for you. For those interested in simpler fare, the bocadito de puerco features tender pulled pork topped with spicy salsa and a tangy barbecue sauce on sourdough bread; the Cubano sandwich could benefit from tastier ham and brown mustard.
Really don't waste your time.... I went there over the summer. I have to tell you the staff was really sleazy. The fat balding door man wouldn't leave my friend alone. I tried asking the barteder for some help and they wouldn't do anything. Besdies that their were people do coke in the bathroom. If you are a hopped druggie this is place for you but if you a classy individual don't waste your time.
This place is horrible. I don't know who gave this place such rave reviews,,, but in my experiences there..it coudn't of been any worse. I don't know which is worse,,, the warm beer, the down right horrible service or the bar full of snobby people. Just look at what the City Paper said about this place in it's best of.....Best Waste of a Deck...little havana
Fit for a Queen. I had read the reviews and decided to visit Little Havana for Mother's Day with my son. We had a fabulous time. The scenery is lovely, the food scrumptious and plentiful, and the atmosphere lovely with the cuban music and event he bathrooms added a touch of Little Havana. I can't wiat to return.
Great Sunday Brunch. The food is fantastic! In warm weather they have a deck overlooking the harbor. The margarita pitcher special on Thurdays nights is a great deal. The Sunday brunch is fantastic, for about $13 you get a great meal and all-you-can-drink mimosas or bloody maries. The bartenders are super and very fast. I love going there, but get there early for brunch because it gets very crowded, especially in warm weather.
Where to find the beautiful people. Funky Space - No other location in Maryland like this one. Sunday Brunch is very affordable, Monday's 1/2 price sandwiches can't be beat, Thursday's Nacho special is great. Friday Happy Hour - very crowded. This seems to be the place to be - filled with the beautiful people.
