The Scene – The Blue Moon is a no-frills cafe: brick walls, wood ceiling, nine tables. Waiting patrons cram into the corners at peak hours as servers cautiously zigzag between tables. – – The Food – Whether you prefer classic dishes or house specialties, the Blue Moon has some of the best breakfasts in town. Everything is made well; portions are generous. Try the Full Moon for fluffy French toast (or pancakes), two eggs and bacon or sausage. Looking for something more exotic? The huevos rancheros piles chorizo, eggs, fresh green salsa and cheddar onto two crisp corn…
World's Greatest Cinnamon Bun
by Aberdeen Santa
I went there on a Friday morning about 10 am. I had to wait about ten minutes to get seated. It was well worth it. The Captain Crunch French Toast was wonderful. The cinnamon bun was out of this world. Go to the Blue Moon Cafe to enjoy life. I took a cinnamon bun to a buddy of mine. He called me up to tell me I was right. This cinnamon bun does not need butter, but is great on it's own.
- Pros: French Toast and Cinnamon Bun
- Cons: It is fifty miles from where I live.
Fresh Breakfast

This was a very good place for breakfast with a nice portion. Hashbrowns were perfectly cooked and eggs nice and fluffy.
- Pros: Nice and Hot
- Cons: lack of space
Horrible weekday service
by cytochris
I live in this community and like to frequent the local establishments. I went on a weekday morning, Tuesday. There were only 7 people in the restaraunt when I got there. I was served a drink and given a menu. Then nothing. 20 minutes later, 3 more patrons came in and got their order taken and I was still waiting, as the waitress looked at me several times but would not take my order. I gave her the benefit of the doubt for another 10 minutes. Then it just wasn't worth it. I left money on the table for my ice tea, with a tip, and left. The service was absolutely horrible, no matter what I've heard about the food, it does not make up for the bad service. Not that they care, but I won't be back.
- Pros: Good word of mouth, but lacking on follow through
- Cons: Horrible service
