What People Are Saying About Blue Moon Cafe

The Scene – The Blue Moon is a no-frills cafe: brick walls, wood ceiling, nine tables. Waiting patrons cram into the corners at peak hours as servers cautiously zigzag between tables. – – The Food – Whether you prefer classic dishes or house specialties, the Blue Moon has some of the best breakfasts in town. Everything is made well; portions are generous. Try the Full Moon for fluffy French toast (or pancakes), two eggs and bacon or sausage. Looking for something more exotic? The huevos rancheros piles chorizo, eggs, fresh green salsa and cheddar onto two crisp corn…
Oh Captain my Captain

Yes, we have all experienced this view from our cars. Driving past Blue Moon cafe any weekend morning you will find the restless and loyal bunch standing outside waiting for their name to be called.
While living in Baltimore for a total of 8 years I have never visited the BMC. Then one rainy morning (during the week) I had the opportunity to devour the best waffles I have ever had. Staff was wonderful and the experience is remembered!
Can't Stand the line...Go during the week. Duh..
- Pros: Best Early Bird Waffle Ever!
- Cons: It was raining the day I visited
Best Bet For Breakfast

I have been waiting a long time to sample this icon since I saw the report on it on the Food Network.
I was not disappointed.
Place is cozy but the food is terriic.
Gina was a great waitress.
She suggested a small order of French toast with the Capt. Crunch coating. What a great idea. This is not to be missed.
I have been sending out-town-guests here for a long time. Now I can give them a first-hand review.
Don't miss it.
- Pros: Best French Toast Ever
- Cons: Long Lines
Crappy Attitude
by ashockcor at Citysearch
We went and were greeted at the door by a young kid with a bad attitude who appeared to be bouncing the door. He was sitting in the middle of the steps and was taking names and letting people in when it was their turn. When we asked him how long the wait was we had to ask 3 times to be given a snotty answer. We were told it would be an hour for a wait. We decided to try and order to go, only to be given a bad attitude yet again when we asked to view a menu. So in short we didnt even get in the door and had a bad enough experience to make us want to leave. They should reconsider who they have outside representing their establishment. We decided to go to Jimmy's where the food, staff, and overall experience was EXCELLENT!
- Pros: none
- Cons: attitude
