15 years and still GREAT! – I have been to Pierpoint , numerous times over the last 15 years, and have taken lots of friends, clients as well as had business dinners there. I highly reccommend the restaurant, as well as the Chef has won , numerous awards for her food. Now i realize the place is small, and they are sometimes understaffed, but they have consistently , delivered great food to me whenever i have eaten there! Also they have a great notable wine list of high end wines, that they DO NOT gouge you on, like some others do and i think they are a value for the money. I would reccommend this restaurant to anyone from Baltimore or out of town looking for a little slice of Maryland cuisine!

Pierpoint's distinctive canary yellow front door opens onto a tiny, bright interior. Beyond the small, comfy bar area, diners nestle into the bistro's main room. Bright yellow crackle-painted walls rise above mint green booths with matching padded seats. Prints and painted flowers on the walls add a festive atmosphere.
Pierpoint is best known for superb seafood dishes, with crab cakes leading the list of favorites. Both traditional and smoked crab cakes are jam-packed with huge chunks of sweet lump and claw meat, and have precious little filler. Caesar salad comes topped with focaccia croutons and is wrapped in a crispy Parmesan cone. Don't miss daily specials like buttery walnut-crusted red snapper with mashed sweet potatoes.

The Maryland-style cioppino is a paella-like seafood feast, with herb tomato sauce, tender clams, shrimp, scallops and delectable rockfish.
will not go back.... – Food was okay...for the quality/quanity it was definitely not worth the price. I enjoy eating out and have no qualms about spending money on REALLY GOOD food, but 5 oz tenderloin for $25?? The menu certainly sounds better than the product. The kitchen is open to the dining room which was freezing since the 2 rooms share the A/C. They always seem understaffed and the waitstaff inexperienced. My salad plate had several bites of greens left, but the waittress swiftly took the plate away.
Good concept, badly executed – We went there this past Valentine's day, and what a fiasco! They were completely short-staffed (how could they have known...it was only Valentine's day...?) The servers did their best to keep the place going, but we waited for 45 minutes (with a reservation), while the dirty glasses piled up at the bar (and where we could not get a drink). They then were out of 2 different bottles of wine we tried to order, as well as 2 entrees and the cheese platter. The ventilation system was also awful, we smelled like we were the ones cooking by the time we got out of there (Talk about awful on Valentine's day). The food was good, but nothing exciting. It's a good concept, but management needs to really improve to keep this place open.
