Editorial Review for Friends at Fells Point – by Steve Lichtenstein
In Short
This spot is spacious yet quaint, with tables, booths and floor space for when the place fills up. The location on Aliceanna, somewhat off the main Broadway drag, makes it a nice escape from the crowded weekend anarchy that Fells Point can be. But this is no underground secret, so don't expect an empty bar. An exceptional draft selection features Blue Moon, Caffrey's, Sierra Nevada, Red Hook and some 15 other brews on tap. The better-than-reasonable prices are even cheaper during happy hour.

Insider Tips
Know Before You GoThe only drawbacks to this bar are the facilities. Remember Trainspotting?
The ExtrasBring your pooch, if you want to. Friends is one of a handful of nearby bars (Kooper's, Ms. Irene's, Wharf Rat) that allow dogs.

Portions are huge here and are relatively cheap! Definitely try out the four mini-burgers and fries--you could make an entree out of them. I've been here on Saturday nights and never had a problem getting a seat--which is more than anyone can say for just about all the bars in Fell's Point. Also, the waiter is incredibly attentive: Your glass is never empty at Friends!
Pros: quiet, great food, yummy cosmopolitans

Dive Bar! Dive Bar! Dive Bar! A glorious and inventive meal service. Resurrection on tap. Cultured seediness all around you. What's not to like.
Pros: "Ambience", Tapped Beer Selection
