Lovely dinner on chilly evening. My husband, niece, and I had a lovely dinner. The owner was kind and our server was delightful. I'm not a food critic, but my dinner was delicious: Tomato Bisque and Pasta Primavara. My husband loved the Cream of Crab, and Salmon with Blueberry sauce, and my niece, a very picky eater, cleaned her plate of Chicken Normandie (except for a few vegetables).

Over all we truly enjoyed the dinner, and will return next time we're in Annapolis.

Poor Service overshadows good food. I started going to Cafe Normandie almost 20 years ago. Their food, especially their salmon, is very good, but the service is the absolute worst that I've experienced in years - even in Paris at the height of the tourist season. The waiters are rude, took forever to serve our meal, and there was a 30 minute interval between when they brought out half of the entrees and the remaining ones. Worse, they brought out the final bill, for which I gave them a credit card, and then they changed the total by almost $50 when they brought back the credit card slip for me to sign (without the itemized receipt). I can't imagine worse service - we had gone there to celebrate a birthday and an important interview and were very, very disappointed.

Good Annapolis Restaurant Experience. Nice romantic restaurant in DT Annapolis. Not world class French cusine, but good. I have taken people here for business dinners and pleasure. Everyone seemed to like it. The service can be off at times, especially during week nights. They have some great half price deals on wine every once in a while.

Scuse moi?. Okay - the food was mediocre - after nearly a 1.5 hour wait. Friends had warned me not to eat here - but I thought, "How cozy and safe it looks." Our waitress totally blew us off, despite numerous attempts to get her attention. She was too busy fussing over a table of 8. When we asked to see the manager - she went and got on of the people AT the table of 8 - a woman who was the owner/manager. She told us we just needed to be patient, she was short-staffed today. I left fuming. What a sty.

OverRated but Acceptable. This is Good (not Great) French cuisine, generally overpriced, with average service. If you have a choice, spend your money at a better quality French restaurant.
