Service was poor. Our waiter brought our steaks, dropped them off walked by thirty seconds later and ask if everything was ok and we didn't see him again until after the meal. When I cut into my steak it was well done rather than medium. I couldn't find the waiter. I ask other wait staff to find our waiter but it fell on deaf ear. This was my second and last trip[ to Lewens. Both times the service was terrable and the food unacceptable and way over priced.

EXCELLENT STEAKHOUSE Parking isn't the best - we were a couple blocks away, but the fillet mignon at Lewnes is worth a mile-long hike! Bar on first floor, but nice dining room on second. Some window seats overlook street, not water, though. But the fillet mignon is grilled to a magnificently crispy outside with perfectly pink inside and melts in your mouth. Desserts are NOT impressive, may even be from a box. Salad is okay, house dressing is good. Kind of weird about their side dishes - designed for two people. But asking will get you all sorts of things - like a side dish just for one person. Definitely a good place to eat even if only for the meat! PROS: Bar-none, the best meat I've ever consumed CONS: Atmosphere, desserts not as good as would have liked

A wonderfully delicious discovery within walking distance of the USNA. The Mids really enjoy a special meal here. The staff is exceptionally polite to Midshipmen. The filet needs no steak knife. The creamed spinach is delicious and enough for two. Desserts are unrivalled in taste and quantity.
