Horrible, horrible experience.
I'm not sure I've had a worse experience than the one I had last night with Roto Rooter. I called them at 5:00 and was told they would send out someone between 5:30 and 7:30 which sounded reasonable.
When no one called or showed up by 8:30 I called again to make sure the guy wasn't lost. I was told sorry, but that the previous job had taken longer than expected but that he would be there in a half hour. I would have appreciated a call to give me a heads up on what's going on, but ok. I figured he was still coming and it wouldn't be long. Well, when 9:45 rolled around and he still wasn't there I called and was told that the techs machine for clearing main sewar lines had broken down but that the other tech would be there as soon as he finished his current job. Getting irritated but the wife and kids needed to shower int he morning so I asked if there really was someone able to come or should I go to sleep and deal with this again in the morning. I was assued again and again that someone would be there. 11:00 I called again to check and was told again to hang in there and that it wouldn't be long. come 1:00 in the morning I finally received a call saying sorry, the other tech's machine was broken and no one could show up between 8 and 9. I said absolutely not.
Well, here we are with a local plumber who did a good job in the time frame he promised and sure enough the roto rooter man showed up at 8:3. I told him that I had told the dispatcher the night before that I defeinitely didn't want them to come out and he acted truly surprised and confused.
I would never ever recommend you use this company. It is truly awful!!!…
Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service Eldersburg, Maryland. I was in need of a plumber to clear my main sewer line. I contacted Roto-Rooter, and they promised to send a plumber within a specified time period. Before arrival, I received a follow up call to verify my address and to let me know the plumber was on his way. The plumber arrived when promised, and promptly began diagnosing the problem. He explained what he was going to do to resolve the blockage and let me know that another technician would send a camera through the drain line to verify the blockage was cleared and to check for any potential concerns. Both Jeff, the Plumber and Nathan, the Camera Specialist were very professional in handling the situation. My sewer drain is clear and I am glad I contacted Roto-Rooter. I will definitely call Roto-Rooter for any future plumbing problems I may have.…
