Hotels >Rachael's Dowry
A Welcome Surprise. We arrived shortly after a hard rain in Baltimore City. The roads were wet, it was dark out, but we found their parking lot rather easy. It was well lit and just behind the inn. After checking in, we were welcomed by an enormous bed in our suite, quite a pleasant surprise. Probably the most comfortable bed we have slept in. The bathroom was large. It had old wooden floors that didn't freeze your feet when you stepped out of the shower. Our experience was unique and we would love for others to share a similar experience so we are recommending Rachael's Inn. The price was comparable to most hotels in the area and offered something different.
Baltimore's Best LIttle Secret - The Bed and Breakfast.
Perfect staycation destination! I love living in Baltimore, but the hustle and bustle of life tends to get in the way of enjoying everything the city has to offer. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon an inn - in the heart of the city! Who knew bed and breakfasts existed in the city!?!? Rachael's Dowry Bed and Breakfast is the perfect oxymoron - quaint, charming inn vs. busy city. . . Federalist period furniture and decor vs. iPod docking station and white noise machines. I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud because the bed and pillows were so billowy and comfortable. The claw-foot tub in my bathroom was the perfect escape within my escape - I soaked in the tub with the shutters open and enjoyed part of the skyline! Rachel's Dowry inn keepers Norman (not as in Bates) and Tish were hospitable and gracious. The gourmet breakfasts, freshly brewed coffee, and plump fresh fruit were very enjoyable, but not as enjoyable as the time spent in conversation with Norman and Tish. I look forward to my next staycation - with Rachael's so close to the light rail, Inner Harbor, Federal Hill, and the Gallery Mall - I hope the next staycation is earlier rather than later.
THANK YOU for a memorable, relaxing stay!
Beautiful Baltimore B&B Where there is free Parking. The owners of Rachael's Dowry restored a beautiful Federal Period Mansion and created a quiet retreat for travelers around the world. The Inn is decorated with period antiques. The service is perfect, and the breakfast is great. The quiet bedrooms have four-poster beds, garden views; and there is a relaxing parlor and library with comfortable reading chairs. The Bed and Breakfast is located in walking distance of the convention center, Orioles baseball stadium, Raven football stadium, and the Inner Harbor.
