Easy easy easy – I am using a Clear mobile usb modem right now and it rocks. I bought the $40 a month high speed deal. Month to month , no contract. Easy Easy Easy. I think it can be particular about where you are in room or whatever. Kind of like a cell phone.
Cancelled my Clear – I just canceled my Clear service for the same reasons that Lani mentions. Since I work on the Internet all day, I CAN’T lose internet when a butterfly passes by. And I’m supposedly surrounded by two towers.
Lani: I called EVERY DAY and complained about my speed until they finally let me out of my contract.
Remain the Same – I am pretty satisfied with Clear internet service and I am hoping it will remain the same as more and more users hook on to the network but even if it does not it will take quite some time for the network to be overloaded or clogged.
slowing connection – Clear internet services' only downside is that they seem to drop your connection about once every couple of days or so, but that's about it. Ping times aren't the best in the world, but hover around 70-100ms, so I can't complain too much. I'm not a gamer, so I can live with 1/10th of a second lag.
I got it, its been alright, had some problems a month ago, kept having drops then I talked to their help desk and they we're like we'll so many people signed up the AP point is overloaded and I'm like like thats my fault? Fix it. Its been better but I'm thinking of going back to comcast or DSL because I play video games and its not that hot. I have still had drops, even very small ones thats will make your game Disconnect. Its frustrating. :( :(
So far it's fantastic. It works really well in my condo, and I'm now using it at work for the first time, and it's coming through great. I just got the mobile, and that'll do me just fine for $45 a month, no taxes, no increases ever!
Clear cant even stream youtube! – On xbox live alone it’s like operating on a 56k modem. Simply amazing, can’t even stream properly on youtube. I’m very fluent in computer hardware/networking, and this is by far the most horrible ISP on earth. The only good thing is their VOIP service, which isn’t all that bad…unlimited local and long distance can’t get any better, and that’s hard to find. but even then that goes out from time to time.
I love it! – After looking at some of the comments, I realize that those who love it, don't waste their time complaining. I would ask the proper questions before receiving service. Here's what I asked before I moved forward. 1-Is there a contract 2- Where does it work 3- Do I have a trial period. I had 14 days to try it out. All I needed was 3 hours before I knew it was better then what I had...AT&T and Comcast is a headache...
