Bel Air >Freedom Fighters Bail Bonds
This was my second time ever having to do something like this and the first time was a nightmare, the very first time I had to bail my oldest son out on a drug charge when he was just 18 and the bail bonds company that I used at the time offered no help and later I found out scammed me for alot more money than I ever should have paid. This time instead of going with a recommendation of an attorney, I got on the internet to do some research. I called a couple other places first before I came across Freedom Fighters, these other places all list local addresses but their offices are actually 40 minutes away, or they offer financing in their ads, but when you call them they demand the entire 10% up front. Finally i was able to call Freedom Fighters and found that they actually did have a location nearby and that they would work with me on financing. This time was for my youngest (my daughter) and let me tell you this bail experience was one thousand times better than my first! This time I got friendly, helpful and compassionate people to help me with my situation (I was a nervous wreck!) instead of the ignorant, know it all types who wanted money and nothing else to tie up their time. I know that when we are facing tough times and we are frantically looking to get our sweetheart out we sometimes make rash decisions, I just want you to know to stop, breathe, and do a second of research before you end up with some sleazebag company like I did the first time. Call these guys, Freedom Fighters bondsmen, they were awesome to me and my family!!!
100 PER CENT SATISFIED.
I contacted Freedom Fighters and spoke with Dan McGhee who was very helpful and advised me of how bail-bonds work, what room the bail review would be in at the court house, what to expect at the hearing, and that he would personally meet me there.
The bail-bond rates are set by the state of Maryland, and none of the companies can exceed that rate.
When I arrived at the court house, Dan was there waiting for me and for another family he was helping.
He was neatly dressed, well spoken, and looked like
"the Rock" (Dwayne Johnson) with nice hair.
We watched our family member on a TV screen from the Harford County Detention Center because that is how they do it.
The other family's son was denied bail.
My family member did not need a bail-bondsman (Thank you, God) and was released that day.
You have to have a bail-bondsman contacted before your case because there is a small window of opportunity right after the hearing where you and the bail-bondsman have to race over to the Harford County Detention Center to make bail...Otherwise, you will wait and wait.
Dan stayed around after the hearing and spoke to the other family and me to answer all of our questions and concerns, and he really did not have to do that because he was not making a dime off of either of us.
Dan said that most people ar the Harford County Detention Center are released around 5:30 PM after the shift change and after they have eaten dinner
There were 2 other bail-bondsmen there in the court room who were probably hired by someone from the jail unseen, and they looked like 2 over-weight homeless guys who slept in their clothes and did not look smart enough to pass a driving test..
What a difference if was between Dan from Freedom Fighters and these 2 bail-bondsmen from another company.
You will not be sorry if you go with Freedom Fighters.
Best Service Imaginable!!!. I never though I would ever have to find myself having to call a bail bondsman, and when the time I came i have to admit I was scared!! The rough types that I had envisioned picking up the phone and giving me an attitude were quickly pushed away when i contacted Freedom fighters to bail out my teenage daughter. They were extremely friendly and halpful, walked me through the process, the court process, and made the transaction as easy as possible. I was soooo nervous, but they offered to have me come in their office, or come to my home, they were willing to take a personal check since it was a sunday and banks were closed, and basically held my hand the whole way through. my daughter was out in no time and they did the bail for much less than some of the other companies in the phonebook. Daniel the owner personally did the paperwork with me, and in light of what one of his competitors (apparently) must have wrote about him before me, he was extremely friendly and I could never imagine him acting the way he supposedly did in that scenario. I never plan on having to use a bailbondsman again and pray that noone I ever know does either, but I would highly recommend these guys, I have even gotten them a free ad placement in our church bulletin. I do anything I can to help fellow christians!! =D
They are very dishonest lie and misleading!!!!!!!!!!!.
Do not use this company they are crooks!!!!!!!!
Dan McGhee who I spoke to stated he is the owner. I advised him I contacted the police and he got furious and threaten me. Told me to stop calling the police and man up and meet him at he place of business so he can beat me up.
I hired another bail bonds company to bail out a family member they advised me that they could not get my family members bailed out till next morning because the jail will not release him till morning. Meanwhile my family that iwas trying to bail out contacted me with the help of freedom fighters. It old freedom fighters the situation and they told that the other bonds person was giving me the run around that they a a bondsman at the commissioners office at that very moment n assured me that they can n will have my family member out that same night if I went with them. They took my money told me to wait for my family member at the jail that they will be out in a few hours. While I was waiting they called me back and stated that my family member will not being getting out due to a paperwork taking to long. Then they stated that I can pick my family member up first thing in morning. That I can't grab the the release papers from therenbailbond guy who is at the jail that I where I was waiting to get my family member. So they gave me the bondsman nannette and number I called him he stated that his was not at the jail and never was suppose to be. That he contracted to bails for FreedomFighters and several other bond companies. Also that it sounds like Freedom Fighters mislead me just to get my money because there is no way that there way no way that my family member would have be able to get out tonite and if they to me that that they were lying.
There own bondsman told men said that about them.
I went to the commissioners office to complain and people that I spoke to stated nothing good about Freedom Fighters.
