The chips and salsa are WONDERFUL! The food is great, nice atmosphere, and a friendly staff all make this a great place to eat. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive. I wish there were more parking, they seem to be quit busy! Also, getting your check can sometimes take a bit of time if they are busy. I would recommend visiting during non rush times, as they are very popular.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Maryland. Prior to their recent expansion, I avoided this place because of the long lines. But now that the new part is built, there is almost never a wait. The food is awesome, the atmosphere is perfect, and the prices are cheap. If you haven't been, go there tonight. Really...but avoid the jumbo Cadillac margarita...it makes you do silly stuff. haha.

This Mexican eatery tucked into a strip mall on the way to the airport is extremely popular. Despite the fact that there are no neighborhoods nearby, people flock to this cheerful cantina. The decor is attractive, the service is fast and friendly, and the food is filling and tasty. It's a great place for a casual dinner with friends, and it won't break your budget.

Since moving to Baltimore, I've missed the authentic Mexican food we could get in North Carolina (yes, in NC!). But, Los Portales is by far the best around. I love the cheese dip! And they serve REAL fajitas... not those knockoffs that are served elsewhere when they just lay the chicken breast on top of some peppers and onions. I love the beans! I love the salsa! I LOVE THIS PLACE. Most importantly, they are affordable!
- Pros: all of it!!
- Cons: Not a thing!

Authentic and delicious! We travel an hour to dine here and it's worth it! Everything on the menu is tasty especially the authentic rice and refried beans! The Chimis are incredible!
- Pros: Great Service yet quick. Great Atmosphere and the margaritas aren't bad either!
- Cons: sometimes get crowded.

Love the food, atmosphere, service......a wonderful Mexican Restaurant. We have taken friends there and have recommended it to people and they all love it! They have great Margaritas also!

Los Portales is a wonderful place to eat - the atmosphere, food, and staff are all much above average. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves Mexican food!
