In 2007 when I was looking for a place to get my first tattoo I came across Tattooed Heart Studios. I haven't gone anywhere else since, even now that we have moved out of the immediate area, I still travel over an hour and a half to get tattoo work done by Markuss Decker. I really didn't know what to expect the first time I walked in there, but the entire staff is great and I won't go anywhere else.

Upon my return to the states from a rather lengthy (vacation) i found myself strolling through BWI wanting a real cheeseburger! and to do more dope ass work on my half sleeve from my boy J. Love at Tattooed Heart. From the studio to the people that work there it was all exceptional. The shear friendliness from the staff alone will keep you coming back for more!! So if your in the market for getting a sick ass tattoo, in a clean studio, and meeting some cool as people you know where to go!!

I'm 38 years old and just got my first tattoo. I had no idea what to expect, but throughout the whole process Tattooed Heart and Johnny Love were wonderful. Johnny worked with me to customize my design and I am absolutely delighted with what he came up with. I've been showing off my new Tattoo to everyone. I'm proud of it and can't thank Johnny enough. As for the studios, it is very clean and has a great atmosphere. I really love the artwork and displays. It was a great experience and I'm already thinking of the next design I want Johnny to work on. If you wanna tattoo check out this place!

Hello,
I am writing about bad experience while visiting Tattooed Heart. I went in to see about the special that they were offering on their web page. I asked if they could add some extras to the name tat that I wanted and it was if they didn't want the busy or something. Telling me that it would be extra for this and that. Which I didn't have a problem with. I just wanted what I wanted. The one guy that goes by the name of El Nundos was very rude and even cussed at me a few times. All I could do was stand there and look at him for a hot minute. And the other guy he was the one who was telling me if you add this and that it would cost more. And like I stated earlier money wasn't an issue. I had read some reviews on this place of business and the reviews weren't too good!!! But I figured that I would go in and check them out for myself. They just seemed like they weren't interested in pleasing me as a customer and kept talking about the price. After standing there and observing this I decided that I would take my business elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone at all. And I let them both know that you don't conduct business in that matter. Meaning not be attendative or even listening to what the customer wants and the cussing infront of your customer or at your customers for that matter. El Nundos really needs to take some type of business classes to learn how to deal with the public when running a business that you have all walks of life coming into your place of business. He has a very poor attitude when talking to customers!!!! And from what I saw him do on the computer with the "font" I could have did that from home!!!! I asked to see some of their work and I was told that it was "over there" on some stand which I thought was not business like at all if you have a paying customer you should be more than happy to get the books and show off your work. But, like the reviews I read before going to this place stated it was the worst I have seen!!!!

No doubt, I will be going back for more! My husband and I did some research online and found Tattooed Heart to be one of the better choices based on other reviews and their website. We checked out some of their work online but wanted to be sure.This wasn't my first time in a tattoo shop but it was my first tattoo. The counter help was friendly and set me up with an appointment. When I went for my appointment, Markuss had some drawings ready for me and we discussed all the details. I ended up getting a better tattoo than I could have imagined. He was fun to work with and made the process really easy for me. My husband didn't want a tattoo before but now he is even talking about getting one! If he does, I know where we will be going!

I stopped by the Tattooed Heart to get information on a piercing. The staff was very helpful. When I had issues with another studio drawing a large custom piece I decided to go to Tattooed Heart. I was given immediate and excellent treatment. Johnny Love is an excellent artist who listens to his customers and gives full measure in his art. I will be going back for all my tattoos and piercings. I have finally found the perfect studio.

i have been comin to tattooed heart for a while. they hooked me up real nice on my boys memorial piece. I tell everyone to go to this spot.
- Pros: located near the canopy, and right off ritchie i can hop the bus there
- Cons: i gotta hop the bus there , but that aint there fault

ok so Im a very critical person.. i call it like i see it. and im not afraid to speak the truth. that being said let me just tell you, i would highly suggest Tattooed Heart Studios to my closest friends.. (I would suggest enemies go elsewhere.. lol)
My experiences with "The Heart" (as the family of staff calls it) has been nothing short of exceptional. As of now I have been tattooed by Johnny Love, Markuss & El Nundo !As well as pierced by El Nundo.. a few times. I ask for Tattooed Heart Gift cards for holidays and my birthday , I have managed to collect each one of thier custom T shirts and I even got a kick @$$ buffalo Chicken dip recipe from thier counter girl. I can't think of a better place to get custom artwork from a friendly staff. The place is always clean and i never feel like im not wanted.They do everything they can to make you feel welcome and are always happy to see you come back. I LOVE THE HEART!!!!
going anywhere else is just a shame.

- Cons: weekends get busy quick, i suggest an appointment ahead of time

Let me be the first to say how nice it is to know a business sees you as a individual and not a stack of cash. I was unable to get in the chair at a couple local studios (busy weekends) and I dont have a lot of time off post. I did a little research and I stumbled across some reviews of Tattooed Heart Studios in Glen Burnie.. and I was impressed by the positive remarks people had, I called the shop to see if the 25 minute drive would be a waste of time, and the friendly staff assured me they would work me in and then told me they offer a Military / Public Servants discount! Wow.. very few places offer such a discount . I was equally as impressed once I got to the studio as it was in fact one of the largest, nicest, and by far the cleanest tattoo shop I have ever seen.. and trust me I have been to quite a few. My new tattoo is nothing less than breath taking !!! I would certainly recomend the shop to everyone. It is well worth the drive.

Trust me. Your ink is a very personal thing, yet shared by and with the public. Johnny Love is a true artist with amazing talent and a great personality. I tell ALL my friends about him. If you don't go to Johnny, how the Hell will you meet Linda? How the f*@k will you get a high-quality tattoo at really great prices? Johnny's original art is a major factor to me, as it shows originality. The man has talent. Pure and simple. He tattooed my 62-year-old mom, for God's sake.
