BEST Salon in Baltimore

I moved to Baltimore not too long ago and initially went to Studio 1612 to get my hair cut. Based on the reviews here, I decided to give Eastbank a try. I'm sooo glad I did. This place is an Aveda-concept salon. All their products smell so good and as toxin-free as shampoos and conditioners will get. Everyone is so polite, and it's such a calm and peaceful place. Plus, they have free parking behind the salon. Everyone from the person who washes your hair, to the person working at the front desk, to the hairstylists is really nice and treated me with courtesy and respect. The first time I was there 6 months ago, Kim cut my hair and she spent a so much time with me and going over how I should take care of my hair and how to achieve the same results at home. Kim is no longer there, so this time, Laura worked on my hair and did a fabulous job. She spent a good 5 minutes going over what results I wanted to achieve, and explained to me what she thought I should do. I decided to just go with what she suggested. My hair looked so aweful and dull when she started, but afterwards it looked so healthy and bouncy. I got so many compliments on my hair today, I can't believe it. Plus, getting your haircut here costs around the same as other salons in the neighborhood. Also worth mentioning, when they wash your hair here, oh it's heavenly. You get a whole scalp massage and it's so relaxing. I've already referred several of my friends, and when my family comes up to Baltimore to visit me, I'm going to take them to Eastbank to get their haircuts. I love this place and hope that it stays the same! I don't feel rushed, everything's on-time, everyone is polite, I never felt pushed to buy any products, and they do an AMAZING job with haircuts. Very impressive.

• Cons: Nothing...I wish the salon was closer to my house...It's 45 minutes away from me!

Edward is Amazing!

On the way in I am typically exhausted, feeling old and unattractive. After an hour with Edward in the relaxing, jovial atmosphere I feel and look like the years have melted away. He is a master at color and great at recommending, and executing, just the right cut.

This Aveda salon and its staff provides very personal, attentive, and professional vibes to its customers. Edward opened my eyes to Aveda products for my hair and skin and I can say neither has ever been better. The products are great, the service has always been a pleasure to deal with, overall a great salon. You definitely get what you pay for, I highly recommend this salon.

East Bank Hair is a friendly, professional salon that's a lot of fun to go to! Edward is an excellent stylist and colorist. My hair looks and feels fantastic. Aveda products have been great - all around a wonderful experience.

Personal attention in relaxed Aveda salon

This small Aveda salon has a friendly, relaxed, non-pretentious atmosphere. Karen is an excellent stylist. She has done my color and highlights for several years--it always turns out beautifully. They really listen to what you want and need.

Relaxing and Enjoyable

I love my experiences at east bank. I love the relaxing atmosphere, the friendly, down-to-earth employees and always love my hair. Karen's coloring techniques are amazing, she is easy to talk to, personable, and sincerely listens. The fact that it is an Avaeda salon makes it even better. theis products are eco-friendly and have a natural feel and smell; they do not have that chemical feel to them. I highly recommend East Bank Hair

Great Color

I love Eastbank Hair because of it's relaxing environment. Truly different than other salons that have several busy stylists where conversations are loud and clients are constantly coming and going. This salon is smaller, more intimate, and peaceful...just try to walk into the place without being offered a cup of tea.

Several years ago I found Karen, my stylist, and a couple years later she moved to Eastbank. I've never been happier. My highlights and lowlights are beautiful now, instead of the bleached-mess I brought to Karen.

Last fall Karen did my hair for my wedding and I'm convinced she's the one who made me beautiful!
