So good! by Emily M. at InsiderPages

Loco Hombre's Mexican fare is some of the best. It is very light and flavorful. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. The service is very good and the menu has a wide selection. I recommend the chicken taco salad.

..this is the place for you.
Numerous visits to Alonso's and Loco Hombre have reinforced my belief that serving the customer in a timely manner is not a priority for either establishment. A recent visit added a new wrinkle: terrible food. In the past, I have overlooked the service issues because of good food. Last night, the fries were overcooked, the burgers were dry, and just like the fries, overcooked. What should have been a fast meal on a slow Sunday took over an hour and resulted in me sending my food back.
It is unfortunate as both restaurants are owned by the same group that owns Miss Shirley's next door (who has impeccable service). If only they took their cues from their neighbors.
When charging $14 for a burger, I expect more of a restaurant.
- Pros: None
- Cons: slow service, marginal food

A good Sunday Brunch is hard to find in Baltimore. Loco has a great Hispanic brunch with lots of interesting options. Plus they have T.V.s so you can watch football while you enjoy your meal.
Roland Park Mexican eatery serves authentic Southwestern cuisine including burritos, fish tacos and enchiladas with a Tex-Mex twist.

In Short
Restaurant located in ultra-upscale neighborhood serves Tex-Mex, offers Sunday brunch and caters to local families who look to satisfy their Mexican food cravings. Inside, the eatery offers a festive south of the border atmosphere with mariachi decoration and a full bar. The broad menu attracts locals with its seafood and meat entrees ranging from $16 to $24. The pan-seared chicken with charred tomato mole, mashed potatoes and creamed red chile rajas for $18 is a popular dish.

Good Mexican food close to Loyola College...the nachos are enough for a meal and topped with all of the right toppings, even banana peppers. Finally a place that knows what goes on decent nachos. There is an entire page of margarita to choose from. stop by and see for yourself!
Loco Hombre's Goes Loco

They had such decent Mexican-American food, and now they have introduced this odd, upscale menu. I know many really good chefs, who have trained at very good culinary institutes, and whoever is planning their dishes is not doing a very good job. They have over reached so far that the result is a very bad meal for some of the entrees. They should return to good old regular Mexican-American dishes.
- Pros: quiet
- Cons: odd dishes
Unfortunate changes.

As a Loyola Grad, I was fond of Loco. To my surprise, one day after a Ravens game we stopped in for a bite and the place had been "re-invented". Gone was the casual tex-mex place, enter booths and a menu that was everything but casual. You can't even get a taco or burrito there anymore.
- Pros: good name
- Cons: , NEW menu
