Becoming one of the best!

I have been eating at this restaurant since it first opened it's doors. I have endured excruciating slow, rude and neglectful service. But I continue to return. Why? The Chili Rellenos are the best I have ever had. Over the years this restaurant has grown and become much more customer friendly, and service has improved tremendously. That being said, there is still room for improvement. Twice, within the last couple of months, I have returned food which had obviously spoiled. Also, sometimes the food is so bland, and neglectfully prepared, I wonder why I keep returning. I contribute this to the different chefs/cooks in the kitchen. One of the chefs is definitely an expert in Mexican cuisine and no thought is too small in food preparation. However, one of the other chef's is a pretender and is just painting by the numbers. You will know who is working when your food is served. On the occasions I have complained, the staff were quick to resolve the problem. Overall I would say this restaurant is becoming one of the best. And I will return, I always do.

Addicted. Great food, Great Prices, Great Service.

This restaurant is fantastic. I have never had a meal that I did not finish. The service is friendly and fast...and you can't find a cheaper, more delicious meal. About the 2 bad review's below mine, 'jcorrales' ordered way too many things on the menu, if you had ordered just one meal like the rest of us, you might have enjoyed yourself. Then 2 desserts? Come on now. Gross.

And 'holisticlady' reviewed the El Salto in Parkville, not on Richie Highway...which is completely different... owned and run by different people...so that review needs to move to the Parkville El Salto.

I cant stop going back

I have had Mexican food from all over and this is truley one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten in. The staff is truly wonderful and helpful. I have several friends that can not stop going back. You must try the Taco's El Salto

love the food, the staff is very friendly and prompt, and it's inexpensive enough that you can go about as often as you'd like and not go broke. been going there every few weeks for at least 5 years, and see no reason to stop. there are better (and more expensive) restaurants in the baltimore area, but not many that i just plain enjoy going to as much for a simple, satisfying meal.

The Best!!

My family and I have been going to El Salto's for many years. The food is delicious and inexpensive! The service is quick and friendly. Their cheese dip is to die for....one of a kind. The margarita's will knock you off your feet! To the person who listed this restaraunt as disgusting, they obviously work for baha fresh which I have also eaten at and you can't even compare the 2, they don't even have mexicans preparing the food. If you try El Salto's you'll surely come back for more!!

El Salto's is the best

El Salto's has the most delicious, authentic mexican food I have ever had. Their prices are unbelievably cheap. The ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful - as if you are dining at a table in Mexico. There are paintings of Mexico all over the walls and the waiters and waitresses speak to you in Spanish if you know the language. The food is so good, the best mexican food I have ever had in my life, and I've tried Many Many mexican restaurants. I recommend this restaurant to everyone I know, and now it is also their favorite restaurant. It takes me about 45 minutes to get there, but it is always more than worth the wait/drive. I recommend El Salto's to anyone looking for delicious, authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price.

The best!

My friends and I have made it a tradition to go to this restaurant every Saturday night for about 4 years now. We love the food and it is priced reasonable which is important for us college students. Everything on the menu is fantastic and the atmosphere is great, we go and get great food but also have a great time. I recommened this place to all of my friends!

El Salto is the BEST!

We've been going there for 7+ years. When we were living closer we went there at least 2 times a week. Even the friends we have turned on to it have made it their number 1 place to eat. Whenever we're over in that area we always stop at El Salto. Best mexican food, and never found a better Relleno anywhere. Couldn't say enough about them.

Good and Inexpensive

The service and food are delightful! This place is children friendly and very clean. My husband took me their when we first met and we've been going since then. That's 6 years of good eating.
