Oh that Raisin French Toast!!
by theislandgirl at Citysearch
The Bel-Loc is a favorite diner of ours! When we are in the Towson area, we make it a point to have a meal there...we always seem to make it there for breakfast, which is a good thing because the Bel-Loc has the most awesome raisin french toast! Other goodies include SOS and very fresh orange juice! Prices are decent and the Bel-Loc is a breath of fresh air compared to the some of the "larger" diners in the area (the locals know who I mean) where breakfast goes up on weekends and holidays:(. I love their mugs of coffee!
- Pros: Very Tidy, Outstanding service, Good Value
- Cons: , Can be crowded
Classic American cuisine makes this family-run diner perfect for budget-minded folks with late-night munchies.

The Scene
At this diner, waitresses greet longtime customers by name and stick a candle into the dessert when birthdays roll around. Bel-Loc's counter and cozy vinyl booths make it look like a freeze frame from 1964, the year it opened. At a time when most restaurants don't welcome smokers, the Bel-Loc hostess greets diners with the question, "Smoking or nonsmoking?" A side dining room permits smokers to puff away while they eat.
The Food
No surprises here: just beefy burgers, turkey with gravy and crispy fried fish. Classic diner favorites tend to be better than more ambitious items like crab cake sandwiches. All entrees come with salad and your choice of two vegetables, just like Mom used to make. Catch Bel-Loc at breakfast, available around the clock, and you'll agonize between thick-sliced raisin-bread French toast and fluffy, mountainous omelets. Save room for a slice of rich coconut cream pie washed down with a smooth cup of joe.
An alternative to Denny's

Sometimes this place seems sad- lonely people sitting alone in the wee hours of the morning. And sometimes this place has a community feel- everyone knows everyone else and the waitresses join in all the conversations. Sometimes this place seems like it's gone downhill- the servers have bad attitudes and the food is almost inedible. But if you're in the mood for an omlette at 4:00 AM, this place sure beats Denny's. You can even play tunes on the juke box for 25 cents.
Get Breakfast Hon!

Quick and cheap, that's breakfast served Bel-Loc style. Nothing better than bacon and eggs with their coffee. The waitresses are typically Baltimore.
- Pros: Fast Service, Inexpensive, Separate Smoking Area
- Cons: Small Parking Lot
The real deal Diner
by i_am_fork at Citysearch
I have been to many, perhaps too many, diners in my day -I love them! Give me some kitch stainless steel streamline and 50's modern designed interior with a side of an open faced turkey sandwich, with mached potatoes and I am in heaven. The Bel -Loc Diner is the real deal. Are there places that have better food... yes but that is not always why we dine. Experience counts! The menu is a great value and the ladies taking your order are just devine! Whether its after the bar food you looking for or the classic american breakfast -you have come to the right place!
