Amazing, Everyone in my family Loves IT!!!
by crakar1 at Citysearch
You know, I can't actually believe the last post that said she/he didn't like it. I even took my sister in law there about a year ago, and she REALLY liked it and she was born and raised in Mexico ( now lives in TX). They always give good sized portions, well priced, tastes good, and the many times we have gotten carry out, it is ready in 10 minutes and never wrong. We have ordered from there at least 20 times over the years, so they are really on the ball and consistent. Take your kids here and not to Taco Bell. They even get to practice their Spanish if they want to!
- Pros: consistent, good food, good service, quick
- Cons: sometimes not enough seats during the busy times
Not Authentic
by day247 at Citysearch
El Salto 2 is not authentic because I've been to Mexico and ate EXCELLENT food. El Salto uses watered-down food, which is just plain cheap. On my viist, I was given pureed tomotoe sauce for tortilla dip and "beef" tocas that tasted like cat or dog food. Thier chicken fajitas are okay but will do for those who are hungry or have never ventured to Mexico.
BEST MEXICAN FOOD, BETTER THEN ALL OTHER TEX MEX IN BALTIMORE

REAL TASTY, NO FRILLS, DOWN TO EARTH MEXICAN FOOD, REALLY SATISFIES THE CRAVING AND FULL OF FLAVOR. THE ATMOSPHERE CAN USE A LITTLE PERK, BUT ALL IN ALL, CAN'T BEAT THE TASTE AND THE PRICE,,, IT'S A JOKE, REAL CHEAP,, AWESOME FOOD!!!
- Pros: FOOD IS AWSOME, PRICE IS GREAT
- Cons: NOT FOR FIRST DATES

Large portions of authentic Mexican dishes including chile rellenos and enchiladas are served at this family-friendly eatery.
Best Mexican restaurant EVER!!

El Salto is one of the best and cheapest restaurants I've ever been to. You can get a very large, very delicious meal for under $6.
- Pros: great food, very cheap

I'll be back (and back and back...)

Simply the best Mexican food in Baltimore, at a great price, served by a helpful, friendly staff. The combos are good, but try the specialties -- this is where you really see the difference between El Salto and everyone else. I highly recommend the Chilaquiles Mexicano -- you've probably never tasted anything so good anywhere else.
- Pros: great food, great prices, fast service
- Cons: crowded (at times)
Next Best to the West

I'm from Utah where Mexican food can be found in abundance. El Salto is a real find here, offering as close to cheap and yummy Mex fare as I've eaten in a while since moving from SLC. A much better choice than diners and fast food!
Vamanos one and all

I find El Saltos to be a sweet treasuer nestled in the depths of Brooklyn Park. This resturant was once a BurgerKing, now turned into family friendly mexican resturant. Here you won't find that your wallet is empty when you leave. Instead you recieve a full belly and the sensation that your taste buds must have more. This is a great spot for the family and the REAL mexican food lover. They even have the wonderful Fried Ice Cream!!!!
- Pros: quick service, great tasting, Inexpensive
- Cons: limited space, no substitutions
