I would recommend this place to anyone with a taste for good food! The prices are low and the portions are huge! It is not at all an upscale place, but not a hole in the wall either. You can carry-out or stay and eat. The dress is casual (jeans are fine)! Try the PIZZA it is GREAT. I will not order pizza from anywhere else again!!! I always order it with Pep, Ham, and Mushroom...well done (little crisp)...TOO DIE FOR! Yummm You have to GO and try this place out!

Pros: Pizza , Portions, and Prices

Cons: NONE

This neighborhood Italian restaurant is the best. I have visited this establishment at least 12 times for pizza, salads and especially enjoy their veal parm. Their italian red sauce is truly authentic; meal portions are hearty and prices the norm. I like the warm atmosphere and friendly service by servers. Its a place I recommend often to friends and family.

The Italian Bistro offers a large menu selection ranging from subs ,sandwiches, pizza slices , to authentic veal, chicken, seafood, pasta entres. The portions are huge! all of the dinners come with a salad and Italian bread.I almost always take something home for the next days lunch. The wait staff is friendly and service is always prompt. entre prices range from $10-20. all the entres are worth the price, even the $20 ones are overloaded with seafood and def worth the price. My Favorites are any of the veal dishes (the best veal I have ever had) and you cant go wrong with the Chicken Romano. My server last time told me that all the sauces are homemade and it shows. If you are looking for authentic Italian food at competitive prices don't go to little Italy save your money, go to Italian Bistro. Ps. Don't forget to try the homemade sangria it is out of this world!

Food is good though expect very steep prices. Personally, I would recommend their pasta dishes (great) and skip the pizza (average). If the prices are too much for you, just skip the appetizers and go directly to a main dish.

The Italian Bistro really does have some delicious food. I have been to Italy a number of times, and I find their food to be very authentic, as much or more so than any place I have been in Little Italy downtown. I agree with other reviewers that the Veal dishes are outstanding, you can't go wrong with the marsala or the piccata, both are fantastic. My favorite dish is new on the menu, it's the lobster raviolli. The raviolli is stuffed with cheese and lobster meat, topped with a light red cream sauce and then lump crab meat and shrimp on top of that. My wife and I usually get take out, but it is pleasant to eat-in also. They recently did a small remodel where the dining room is totally separated from the take-out section. Definitely a good idea. Overall I would rate the food as excellent, even the pizza is delicious. Prices are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

Italian Bistro used to be a regular pizza shop until the owner decided to make it into an upscale restaurant. This seems to be a great idea until you realize that the food tastes like the old pizza shop food but is now 3 times more expensive. In fact, they have continually risen prices 1-5 dollars every other quarter. Now you'll find yourself paying $20 dollars for a chicken parm. The food is ok, but absolutely not top notch italian and not worth the prices they are charging. I have spoken to them about the price increases but didn't get a clear answer. On the positive note, the ambience is nice and the waitresses are very polite and friendly. However, I've been going to them on and off for 5 years, but I will not in the future due to the due to the above mentioned reasons.

Pros: Good atmosphere

Cons: Expensive prices ($20 dollars for a single entree), Service can be slow

Hubby and I went to Kmart and passed it- we never noticed it before and I am glad we did. It was such a nice place and seems to be family run. I had the veal piccata and it was the BEStTI have ever had. They even have take out. There also seemed to be a lot of regulars coming in and out because they greeted a bunch of people by name. Check it out- its worth it!!

Pros: family run, yummy

Cons: busy
